Flower and Asura Manga Concludes in August

Following a five-year run, the ending of Ayano Takeda and Musshu’s Flower and Asura is finally here. The Ultra Jump magazine (Shueisha) says the series will wrap up on August 19. The news appeared in the magazine’s August issue.

Flower and Asura Overview and Plot Summary

Ayano Takeda (writer) and Musshu (artist) launched the coming‑of‑age drama series in June 2021. The comic has been featured in Ultra Jump magazine since its start, and Shueisha has published ten tankōbon volumes to date.

Studio Bind (home to Ruri Rocks and Jobless Reincarnation) turned the manga into a winter 2025 TV series. The show was directed by Ayumu Uwano, and HIDIVE provides both subtitle and dub streams across the US, Canada, Ireland, and Oceania. The voice cast for the anime’s broadcasting club consists of:

• Minori Fujidera (voice of Sae in A Star Brighter Than the Sun) portrays Hana Harauyma
• Miyuri Shimabukuro (voice of Yuki in Fruits Basket) plays Mizuki Usurai
• Fuuka Izumi (voice of Utena in Gushing Over Magical Girls) voices An Natsue
• Chiba Shouya (voice of Kiyotaka in High School of the Elite) as Shuudai Toga
• Seiichirou Yamashita (voice of Cid in The Eminence in Shadow) as Matsayuki Akiyama
• Kiyono Yasuno (voice of Megumi in Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend) as Ryouko Totonoi
• Taito Ban (voice of Jin‑Woo in Solo Leveling) as Sentarou Hakoyama
• Kouji Yusa (voice of Renzou in Blue Exorcist) as Hiromi Kichikouji

Flower and Asura (Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku) centers on Hana Haruyama, a book‑lover who tells tales to kids. When her classmate and broadcasting club president, Mizuki, learns of Hana’s passion, she swiftly invites her to join. As Hana connects with Mizuki and the other members, her reading enthusiasm blossoms. Meanwhile, Hana’s presence also inspires everyone else in the club.
