We had a chance to interview the manga’s writer, Tsumuji Yoshimura, Studio SHAFT CEO Mitsutoshi Kubota, and CyberAgent producer Manami Kabashima at the German anime convention AnimagiC. Set in a future where individuals are born without a gender and normally pick one around age twelve, it follows high‑schooler Hinase Arima, who stays genderless at eighteen. His calm existence shifts when childhood friends Ritsu Kaga and Shiori Takayama each confess their feelings.
