TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com β The celebration of the 2026 Youth Pledge and the 25th anniversary of Tasikmalaya City was marked by a strong sense of unity and togetherness at SD Negeri 4 Karangsambung, located in Ciherang Village, Cibeureum District.
Through an event titled Gebyar Sumpah Pemuda 2026, the committee of SDN 4 Karangsambung encouraged students to foster patriotism, strengthen solidarity, and develop character from an early age.
The threeβday activity, spanning from 28 to 30 October 2026, featured various educational competitions and collaborative sessions. Participants included students from grades 1 to 6, teachers, education staff, and parents or guardians.
In a youth forum, the Mayor of Tasikmalaya explained the President’s vision for youth to understand it. The RTLH program has not yet been able to assist elderly and disabled grandchildren living in a shack in the city centre of Tasikmalaya.
On Wednesday (28/10/2026), the series of events began with competitions such as colouring, drawing, reciting the text of Pancasila, and reading the preamble to the 1945 Constitution.
These competitions served not only to showcase students’ abilities but also to cultivate creativity, courage, confidence, and sportsmanship.
The main commemoration took place on Friday (30/10/2026) with a community walk involving the entire family of SDN 4 Karangsambung.
The activity was officially launched by the Head of Ciherang Village, Mamat Rahmat, S.Ag. During the event, he stressed the importance of nurturing a young generation that is healthy, disciplined, characterful, and prepared to face future challenges.
The community walk followed a route from the school yard to Jalan Semprang, Jalan Cibangun Kidul, Jalan Cikunten, then returned to Jalan Semprang and ended at SDN 4 Karangsambung.
Despite adverse weather conditions and rain, the activity proceeded with great enthusiasm. The committee also organised entertainment, group games, door prizes, and prize distributions to enhance the festive atmosphere.
The Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Dini Apriani, S.Pd.I., expressed gratitude for the support from all parties that contributed to the success of the series of events.
In the centre of Tasikmalaya city, an elderly man and his disabled grandchildren live in an uninhabitable hut. Disabled students in Tasikmalaya held a ceremony to commemorate Youth Pledge Day; the council urged for field facilitation.
He hopes that the commemoration of Youth Pledge Day and the Anniversary of Tasikmalaya City will not be just an annual event, but will contribute to character building and the development of students’ potential.
βWe hope that the children gain positive experiences, become more confident, creative, and have good character,β he said.
The Chairman of the Committee of SDN 4 Karangsambung, Ade Tahyan Alimudin, S.IP., M.Si., stated that the activity became a moment to strengthen family bonds within the school environment.
