Thecuy.com, Sidoarjo – The corporate social responsibility (CSR) program is expected to go beyond ceremonial aspects and genuinely address the needs of villagers. This point was highlighted by Bambang Haryo Soekartono, a member of Commission VII of the Indonesian House of Representatives, during the handover of an operational Tossa vehicle from Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) to the residents of Tebel Village, Gedangan District, Sidoarjo Regency.
Bambang considered that the assistance could facilitate the village’s operational activities while also supporting environmental cleanliness efforts. He stated that corporate CSR would be more beneficial if distributed according to the community’s real needs and could be utilized over the long term.
He expressed appreciation to BRI for its prompt fulfillment of the residents’ request. Bambang also hoped that the operational vehicle would be well-maintained so that its benefits could be enjoyed by the community for a longer period.
On the same occasion, Bambang emphasized that the availability of operational facilities must be balanced with the active role of residents in maintaining and utilizing them optimally. In this way, cleanliness and service programs in the village can operate more consistently.
Meanwhile, BRI Sidoarjo Manager, Komang Gitiantara, stated that the operational vehicle distributed through the CSR program is expected to provide tangible benefits for the residents of Tebel Village. He also reminded about the importance of maintenance to keep the vehicle’s condition in good condition and enable its long-term use.
The distribution of this assistance demonstrates collaboration between the business sector and the community in addressing village‑level needs, particularly to support services and a cleaner environment.
