Shangri-La Frontier Season 3 has unveiled its inaugural key visual, confirming the airing of two consecutive cours and a premiere set for January 10, 2027. The series will proceed with the Galaxia Heroes: Chaos segment, a storyline that was previewed earlier in a promotional trailer.
Studio C2C is once again handling the animation production. The project was launched in tandem with the franchise’s debut game adaptation shortly after the second season’s conclusion. The fresh key visual is presented beneath this line.
Season one of Shangri-La Frontier spanned two successive cours, airing from October 2023 through March 2024, while its follow‑up covered the same October‑to‑March period in 2024. Toshiyuki Kubooka resumed his role as director for the sequel, with Kurashima Ayumi handling character design and serving as chief animation director. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu oversaw the series composition, and Hirokawa Keiichi, Takada Ryuichi, and Takahashi Kuniyuki provided the musical score. The Season 3 trailer is available to view further down.
In its second run, the series introduced fresh talent and storylines across several major arcs: the Nephilim Hollow Arc (featuring Rie Takahashi as Rust and Kaito Ishikawa as Mordo), the Abyss City Arc (with Aki Kanada as Stude and Toru Sakurai as Araba), and the GGC Arc (showcasing Yumi Uchiyama as Megumi Natsume and Minami Takahashi as Silvia Goldberg). It appears in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine and has also been secured for English release by Kodansha USA.
The narrative centers on Rakuro Hizutome, a gamer known as Sunraku, who revels in tackling subpar titles and conquering them despite their imperfections. Upon stumbling upon the elite game Shangri-La Frontier, he discovers a new passion, reconnects with veteran players, and eagerly explores the expansive world’s highlights while aiming to defeat its toughest foes.
