The Even a Replica Can Fall in Love manga is approaching its conclusion. Kadokawa has listed the manga’s seventh volume as its final release, with the publisher planning to ship the last book on October 27. This series adapts the light novel penned by Harunadon and illustrated by raemz, focusing on the intriguing circumstances of Nao/Sunao Aikawa.
To those around her, Nao/Sunao Aikawa comes across as a girl with a slightly tangled demeanor. Her mood swings and shifting friendliness resemble the unpredictability of the wind. Yet, despite her odd nature, she appears to be a typical girl. What those nearby don’t realize is that Nao and Sunao are separate beings: Sunao is a mortal girl, while Nao is an artificially conjured likeness created through supernatural means.
Whenever Sunao wishes to dodge school or other obligations, she dispatches Nao to fill in. However, the dynamics are far more intricate. Although Nao is Sunao’s counterpart, her life does not duplicate Sunao’s; she experiences her own moments, feelings, and events, which Sunao learns about only through the notes Nao provides. Having long come to terms with her solitary role, Nao’s composure starts to crumble as she develops romantic feelings for her classmate, Shuya Sanada.
Momose Handa debuted the series Even a Replica Can Fall in Love (Replica Datte, Koi o Suru) in April 2023. Since its launch, Kadokawa’s Dengeki Maoh has been hosting the serialization. The publisher has gathered the chapters into six bound volumes, which have been made available in English through Yen Press and BookWalker in both print and digital forms.
Studio Voil has adapted the light novel into a television anime slated for spring 2026, and Crunchyroll will be streaming the series.
