PANGANDARAN, Thecuy.com – The Department of Youth and Sports Education of Pangandaran Regency has submitted proposals for revitalizing hundreds of schools. Schools with severe damage are prioritized to receive assistance.
Darso, Secretary of the Department of Youth and Sports Education of Pangandaran Regency, stated that over 200 elementary schools need room revitalization.
“Meanwhile, for junior high schools, around 37 schools have been proposed for revitalization this year out of a total of 56 schools,” he said on Tuesday (15/9/2026).

He mentioned that approximately 200 kindergartens have been proposed for revitalization. “Even though some have been accommodated in 2025, the number is higher now,” he said.
According to him, the Ministry determines the eligibility for revitalization, while the department only submits proposals. “Assessment is usually done through dapodik, depending on how schools upload their conditions, facilities and infrastructure,” he explained.
He said, the damage condition of classrooms varies across schools—some are severely damaged while others are moderately damaged. “Severe cases are obviously prioritized for submission,” he clarified.
He noted that revitalization from previous years continues, albeit in stages. Some classes in each school are occasionally accommodated for repair.
“Private schools are also clearly submitted, both elementary and junior high, with about six private elementary schools in total,” he explained. (Deni Nurdiansah)
