Sebanyak 6.800 warga berbondong-bondong mencari lowongan pekerjaan di International Job Fair 2026.

TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – Around 6,800 job seekers attended the Tasikmalaya International Job Fair 2026 held at Asia Plaza Tasikmalaya on Friday (30/10/2026). The event is one of the efforts by the Tasikmalaya City Government to expand access to job opportunities and reduce unemployment rates.

In the event, 31 companies from various industrial sectors participated. Moreover, the job opportunities offered did not only come from domestic companies but also opened placement prospects for workers in 18 countries.

Tasikmalaya Mayor Viman Alfarizi Ramadhan expressed appreciation for the high enthusiasm of the community, especially young people who took advantage of the opportunity to look for work. According to him, holding a job fair is one concrete solution for the government to connect job seekers with companies in need of workers.

In the center of Tasikmalaya, an elderly grandfather and his disabled grandson reside in a dilapidated hut; Students with disabilities in Tasikmalaya held a Youth Pledge Commemoration Ceremony, and the Council encourages providing facilities for them.

“We are proud to see the community’s enthusiasm is so high. Today, the government facilitated around 6,800 job seekers to get access to jobs, both domestic and overseas,” he said.

He said that expanding job opportunities is part of the government’s effort to reduce unemployment in Tasikmalaya City.

Meanwhile, the Special Staff of the President of the Republic of Indonesia for MSMEs and Digital Technology, Tiar Nabila Karbala, said that the number of job fair participants increased significantly compared to the initial target of around 1,500 job seekers. In reality, the number of registrants who attended the event reached around 5,800 to 6,800 people.

“This shows that the need for access to information and job opportunities is still quite large, especially for young people,” she said.

He explained that the implementation of the Tasikmalaya International Job Fair 2026 was the result of collaboration among various parties, ranging from the regional government, relevant ministries, the business world, to the support of the President’s Special Staff.

The implementation was carried out through two mechanisms, namely directly or offline and online or daring. Thus, the public can access job vacancy information and follow the registration process more easily.

“We want the job search process to become easier and more open. The public can access job information, register, and then follow the selection stages according to the company’s regulations,” he explained.
