TOUGEN ANKI Season 2, subtitled the Nikko Kegon Falls Arc, unveiled a fresh key visual, trailer, cast lineup, and a premiere date of October 2, 2026. The follow‑up was formally confirmed after Season 1’s concluding Episode 24, and the series had previously introduced members of the Oni Brigade. Ato Nonaka helms the anime at Studio HIBARI, with Yukie Sugawara overseeing series composition and writing.
The newly revealed cast members are:
- Kenichi Suzumura portrays Kusabi Momoura, head of the Momotaro Agency’s Kegon Falls Branch Laboratory
- Yuki Kaji voices Hizumi Momotsugi, the laboratory’s 10th Unit Captain
- Kisho Taniyama plays Senritsu Momoo, the laboratory’s 3rd Unit Vice‑Captain
The upcoming storyline follows Shiki and his Rasetsu Academy classmates as they travel to Nikko after Yaoroshi departs the school to join the Oni Brigade. Their target is a nearby research site close to Kegon Falls, where experiments on Oni are underway.
Hiromitsu Kitayama performs the opening theme “BACKLASH,” and TRACK15 contributes the ending theme “Hand in Hand.” The fresh trailer is available to view below.
Two special recap shows will precede the launch, presenting the Kyoto Arc on September 30 and the Nerima Arc on October 1. Be sure to check out the newly released key visual as well.
Yura Urushibara pen‑writes and illustrates the TOUGEN ANKI manga, ongoing in AKITASHOTEN’s Weekly Shonen Champion magazine since 2020. Sales of the series have topped 4 million copies in Japan up to now.
The anime is overseen by Ato Nonaka, assisted by Hiroyuki Hashimoto. Yukie Sugawara manages series composition and screenplay, and Ryoko Amisaki designs the characters. The soundtrack is created by KOHTA YAMAMOTO and produced by PONY CANYON.
Earlier we interviewed the principal voice actors of TOUGEN ANKI before its launch, among them Kazuki Ura (Shiki Ichinose), Hiroshi Kamiya (Naito Mudano), and Koutaro Nishiyama (Jin Kogasaki). The ensemble has since expanded to include Aimi as Kuina Sazanami, Kaito Miura as Rokuro Kiriyama, Natsuki Hanae as Jyuji Yusurube, Shogo Sakata as Ikari Yaoroshi, and Manaka Iwami as Homare Byoubugaura.
