Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian (Roshidere) Season 2 unveiled a teaser trailer on Sunday. The upcoming sequel is set to launch in 2027.
Doga Kobo is gearing up to produce the second season, enlisting a fresh director, Hiroshi Haraguchi, who steps in for Ryota Itoh. Yuka Yamada oversees the series composition, and Yuhei Murota handles character design. The existing voice actors will return for their respective parts:
- Sumire Uesaka plays Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou
- Kohei Amasaki plays Masachika Kuze
- Wakana Maruoka plays Yuki Suou
- Yukiyo Fuji plays Maria Mikhailovna Kujou
- Saya Aizawa plays Ayano Kimishima
SunSunSun is the author of the light novel series that inspired the anime, with art provided by Momoco. A manga adaptation exists, illustrated by Saho Tenamachi. Yen Press has secured English publishing rights for both the novel and the manga; they summarize the story as follows:
Alisa Mikhailovna Kujou is known as the “lonely princess” of Seiren Private Academy. As a half‑Russian student with silvery hair, she ranks at the top of her class, serves as the student council’s accountant, and appears completely aloof. For unexplained reasons she also takes it upon herself to discipline the careless student seated beside her. Masachika Kuze constantly frustrates her by dozing off, forgetting his textbooks, and generally behaving like a non‑model student. Appearances can be deceiving, though; despite her stern façade Alisa isn’t as bothered by Masachika as outsiders might assume, even allowing him to call her by the nickname Alya. Anyone who could hear her murmured comments in Russian would grasp her true feelings, but because none of her classmates understand the language she can speak her mind freely… except for one person. Masachika secretly listens to her embarrassing confessions, feigning ignorance while puzzling over the meaning behind her flirty remarks!
