The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat Season 2 anime unveiled its key visual and trailer, introduced new cast members, and set a January 2027 premiere. The series had earlier confirmed a 2027 launch with a teaser video.
Studio SILVER LINK is coming back to produce the animation, with Masafumi Tamura serving as director. The continuation was first announced in September 2023.
Returning staff include Eri Osada as character designer, Katsuhiko Takayama overseeing series composition, and Kenichi Kuroda handling music. The fresh cast features:
- Sumire Uesaka portrays Epona
- Yusuke Tonozaki portrays Neusch
Epona, the hero and oldest scion of the Rhiannon Baronial house, is said to wield unmatched physical might and magical ability, complemented by thirty S‑ and A‑rank capabilities, making him virtually unbeatable. As the sole champion who can vanquish demons and the Demon Lord, he is also the focal point of Lugh’s assassination designs.
Neusch joins the Royal Knights Academy’s S Class, sharing the top rank with Lugh. As the true heir of the Gefis duchy—a premier noble house—he excels in both scholarly pursuits and martial arts. Ambitious, he aspires to have Lugh and Tarte serve under him later.
The fresh trailer is available to view beneath this point.
Be sure to see the updated key visual as well.
Crunchyroll is streaming the inaugural season, summarizing the storyline:
Having been reborn as the eldest offspring of an aristocratic lineage of assassins, the former top killer now serves a divine mandate. A goddess stipulated one stipulation for his transmigration:
‘Terminate the prophesied Hero destined to bring about the world’s demise.’
This edict defines his new existence. The convergence of his modern‑day assassination expertise and the ancient, potent magical techniques of his family’s secret arts elevates him to unprecedented deadly mastery.
Based on the light‑novel series penned by Rui Tsukiyo (author of Redo of Healer) and illustrated by Reia, The World’s Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat (Sekai Saiko no Ansatsusha, Isekai Kizoku ni Tensei suru) originally debuted on the Shosetsuka ni Naro platform. Kadokawa later secured the rights and launched its official publication in February 2019. Yen Press holds the English licensing for the novels. Additionally, a manga adaptation illustrated by Hamao Sumeragi exists.
