My Happy Marriage series unveiled a teaser clip and fresh artwork for its forthcoming three‑part special, slated to premiere and become available on October 25, 2026. M・A・O has been added to the cast in the role of Kimio Nagaba. The project was first announced back in November of last year and will be available worldwide via Netflix.
These additional installments will pick up Miyo Saimori and Kiyoka Kudo’s narrative following their battle with Naoshi Usui and the Gifted Communion. After she awakens as the Maiden of Dream‑Sight and reunites with Kiyoka, Miyo anticipates their wedding as the pair enjoy a calmer existence.
Nevertheless, Miyo’s circumstances shift again when she joins a cooking session with Hazuki and meets up with Kimio Nagaba, a childhood friend from grade school. Kimio casts a “charm” designed to boost Miyo’s joy, which introduces the fresh plotline.
M・A・O commented on joining the series as Kimio:
“I’m M・A・O, and I’m portraying Kimio Nagaba. I’m thrilled to be part of a remarkable series that delicately captures its characters’ feelings. Kimio arrives with an eerily unsettling vibe, and I’ve tried my hardest to convey the intricate emotions she holds.
“I hope viewers will see how she interlaces with Miyo and Kiyoka as they face challenges and progress toward bliss, all while relishing the endearing and delightful moments shared between the pair!
The teaser clip also showcases the newly revealed ending song, “Prelude no Temae ni ~for me&you~,” sung by Kashitaro Ito. Ito has previously contributed ending themes for the television series.
Takehiro Kubota is back as director and also oversees the series composition. The script is penned by Mika Tanaka and Ikuho Negi, with character designs credited to Shoko Yasuda, Hikaru Sato and Shinji Ito. Evan Call returns to compose the soundtrack, and animation production is handled by studio Kinema Citrus. The cast of the My Happy Marriage anime includes:

The light novel series My Happy Marriage is penned by Akumi Agitogi and first appeared on the Shosetsuka ni Naro online platform. In January 2019, Fujimi L Bunko obtained the rights and started releasing illustrated versions by Tsukiho Tsukioka. Additionally, a manga version illustrated by Rito Kohsaka is also available.
Yen Press holds the English licensing for the novel, and Square Enix publishes the manga. The property also received a live‑action movie in March 2023.
The tale centers on Miyo Saimori, who endures mistreatment from her stepmother because she lacks any supernatural talent, despite hailing from a renowned lineage. Since she has no abilities, her family arranges to wed her to the unforgiving Kiyoka Kudo, known for his harsh demeanor. Yet, after meeting her betrothed, Miyo’s circumstances transform dramatically as she starts to discover her powers and grow nearer to Kiyoka.
