My Happy Marriage anime has unveiled a teaser trailer and fresh artwork for its upcoming three‑episode special, scheduled to premiere on October 25, 2026, both on broadcast and via streaming. Voice actor M・A・O has joined the cast as the new character Kimio Nagaba. The project was first announced back in November of last year and will be available exclusively on Netflix worldwide.
The forthcoming episodes will continue the tale of Miyo Saimori and Kiyoka Kudo following their clash with Naoshi Usui and the Gifted Communion. After she awakens as the Maiden of Dream‑Sight and reunites with Kiyoka, Miyo begins to look forward to their wedding as the pair settle into a calmer existence.
Nevertheless, Miyo’s circumstances shift again when she joins a cooking session with Hazuki and runs into Kimio Nagaba, an old elementary school classmate. Kimio casts a “charm” designed to bring Miyo even greater joy, which kick‑starts the fresh storyline.
M・A・O talked about stepping into the role of Kimio for the series:
“I’m M・A・O, and I’ll portray Kimio Nagaba. I’m thrilled to be part of a masterpiece that delicately captures its characters’ emotions. Kimio arrives with an unsettling vibe, and I’ve endeavored to convey her intricate feelings authentically.
“I hope viewers will see how she intertwines with Miyo and Kiyoka as they face challenges and progress toward joy, relishing the sweet and delightful moments they share!”
The teaser also showcases the freshly revealed ending track, titled “Prelude no Temae ni ~for me&you~,” sung by Kashitaro Ito, who has previously contributed ending themes for the series.
Takehiro Kubota returns as director and also oversees series composition. The screenplay is penned by Mika Tanaka and Ikuho Negi, while character design is handled by Shoko Yasuda, Hikaru Sato and Shinji Ito. Music is once more composed by Evan Call, and animation production is carried out by Kinema Citrus. The voice cast for the My Happy Marriage series includes:

The light novel series My Happy Marriage is penned by Akumi Agitogi and first appeared on the Shosetsuka ni Naro platform. In January 2019, Fujimi L Bunko took over publication, presenting illustrated editions by Tsukiho Tsukioka. Additionally, a manga version illustrated by Rito Kohsaka exists.
Yen Press secured the English rights to the novel, while Square Enix holds the manga license. The property also received a live‑action film in March 2023.
The narrative centers on Miyo Saimori, a girl from a renowned family who endures mistreatment from her stepmother because she lacks any magical talent. Since she possesses no abilities, her relatives arrange for her to be married to the stern Kiyoka Kudo, known for his harsh demeanor. Yet, after encountering her betrothed, Miyo’s life transforms dramatically, and she starts to discover her own powers while forging a deeper bond with Kiyoka.
