Witch on the Holy Night anime film has unveiled a special event showcasing fresh details, such as a concluding 90‑second trailer. The gathering is slated for September 30, 2026.
The movie will open in Japanese theaters on November 20, 2026, and its global theatrical run will start in January 2027.
Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment will roll out the film in the U.S. and Canada on January 29, 2027, offering it in Japanese with English subtitles and an English dub.
The reveal was made at the KYOMAF Stage (Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair), where Yusuke Kobayashi and Kana Hanazawa participated in the panel discussion.

Witch on the Holy Night (Mahoutsukai no Yoru) is a visual novel created by TYPE-MOON and penned by Kinoko Nasu, renowned for titles such as Fate/stay night and Tsukihime. The game debuted in Japan on April 12, 2012; an English edition launched worldwide in December 2022, followed by a Steam release in 2023.
Gameplay showcases art by Hirokazu Koyama and a score by Hideyuki Fukasawa. The forthcoming cinematic version is being crafted by Ufotable, the studio known for Demon Slayer and Fate/Zero.
