The production committee for the TV anime adaptation of The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot for Me (Shiotaiou no Satou-san ga Ore ni Dake Amai) has unveiled a fresh promotional clip and artwork. Additionally, they have announced a premiere on October 6. The new PV introduced both the opening theme and ending theme for the series. The opening song “Sugar Salt” will be performed by Masayoshi Oishi. The ending track “Hatsukoi Reply” will be sung by HoneyWorks and Sara Hoshikawa. The PV is available for viewing below.
The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot for Me depicts the developing romance between Sota Oshio and Koharu Sato. While many consider Koharu aloof—because she speaks tersely, often cuts off conversations, and appears disinterested—her cold demeanor hides a deeply introverted heart that is actually gentle and caring. When Sota intervenes to rescue her from a mishap, he unintentionally gets the chance to discover her true self. To his amazement, the adorable Koharu also longs to learn the real Sota.
Production will be handled by Tezuka Productions, the studio behind titles such as The Quintessential Quintuplets and The Café Terrace and Its Goddesses. They are adapting The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot for Me. The cast for the series features:

- Miku Ito as Koharu Sato
- Miyu Tomita as Rinka Sudo
- Chiaki Kobayashi as Ren Misono
- Yoshino Aoyama as Shizuku Misono
- Hisako Kanemoto as Mayo Nezu
- Yasunori Matsumoto as Seizaemon Oshio
- Yuki Wakai as Madoka Murasaki
Earlier, the production committee revealed that **Fumihiro Yoshimaru** will serve as director. **Daisuke Okushima** has been appointed as the series’ character designer, and **Takashi Aoshima** will write the scripts.
The story first appeared online as a web novel titled *Shiotaiō no Satō-san, Kono Mae Nanpa kara Tasukete kara Nanka Ore ni dake Mechakucha Amakunai?*, penned by Kazami Sawatari on the site Shosetsuka ni Naro. In 2019, Shogakukan acquired the work and began publishing it as a light novel illustrated by Achiki, having already released 13 volumes to date.
Kaya Tetsuyama turned *The Salty Koharu Has a Soft Spot For Me* into a manga, which is currently serialized in Shogakukan’s *Manga One* and *Ura Sunday*.
