TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – The identity of a state high school teacher in Tasikmalaya implicated in an alleged case of gratuity and extortion in the new student admissions at Jenderal Soedirman University (Unsoed) has finally been revealed. The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has released the names of individuals examined, apart from Unsoed’s internal staff and the rector Akhmad Sodik’s close associates.
The teacher examined by the KPK due to his role as a ‘collector coordinator’ is WY. From the gathered information, WY is known to be a teacher at one of the state high schools in Tasikmalaya City.
In a statement from the KPK spokesperson, Budi Prasetyo, WY was examined along with several other witnesses in the case. Among them were two doctors, MDYP and dr MNH. Then there were four other witnesses, namely YW from the PPPK sector, HF who is a businessman, as well as NY and WM from the civil servant sector. However, Budi did not detail the matters being investigated by the investigators regarding the witnesses.

The KPK itself has searched WY’s residence in Kelurahan Panglayungan, Cipedes District, Tasikmalaya City, on Tuesday (8/9/2026). The head of RT 02, Dani, admitted that he accompanied the KPK officers during the search at the teacher’s house.
“Ya benar, kemarin (saat KPK melakukan penggeledahan, Red) saya ikut masuk mendampingi saja sebagai perwakilan dari warga saat itu,” kata Dani, Jumat (18/9/2026).
Meanwhile, the head of RW 21, Eko, admitted arriving late during the search. Upon arrival, the KPK officers and the concerned parties were already inside the house.
“Aku datang telat, jadi sudah di dalam dan tidak boleh masuk karena sudah ada perwakilan,” tuturnya.
Eko admitted not knowing in detail which items were examined or secured by the officers. He only heard that there was a suitcase involved in the process.
