TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – Nurul Awalin officially assumes leadership of DPD Partai Golkar Kota Tasikmalaya for the 2026‑2031 term.
He was unanimously appointed during the 5th Regional Meeting (Musda) of DPD Partai Golkar Kota Tasikmalaya held at Hotel Harmony on Friday (18/9/2026).
Nurul was the only candidate who continued until the registration process closed.
The contest for the chairmanship, which had previously been marked by internal dynamics, concluded without an open duel at the Musda venue.

The Chairman of West Java Golkar Party DPD, Daniel Mutaqien, said that all cadres must accept the results of the Musda and end the support barriers that emerged during the leadership transition process.
According to him, Nurul is no longer just a figure receiving support, but has become the holder of the organizational mandate.
Therefore, all cadres are asked to work together to revive the Golkar Party in Tasikmalaya City.
“There must be no more talk of supporting or not supporting,” said Daniel while closing the Musda.
He emphasized that all cadres must be seen as having the same position and strength.
He said that differences in choice during the Musda process must not become a legacy of conflict after the new chairman is appointed.
“Consider them all as our children. Consider them all as our family. Consider them all as having equal strength,” he said.

Daniel even referred to Nurul’s acclamation victory as initial capital for consolidation.
He described the mandate as a “unanimous” decision, so there should be no more room for factionalism.
“The Chairman has been elected unanimously, unanimously, fully. Not elongated, not square, not triangle, wholly round,” he said.
However, the new mandate does not come without homework. Daniel immediately set a political target for the new Golkar administration in Tasikmalaya City.
He asked that Nurul’s leadership be able to increase the number of seats in the Tasikmalaya City DPRD in the upcoming election. The target he mentioned is at least 10 seats.
“Hopefully the seats can increase. We only have 1.5 years to face the upcoming election,” explained Daniel.
Daniel admitted that the target of 10 seats is actually still relatively small considering the political potential of Tasikmalaya City. However, the figure was intentionally set as a starting point for the party machine to work.
