The crew behind the upcoming Devils’ Crest series has announced the cast for four characters. In addition, they have posted a selection of character and voice‑actor artwork. The newest voices for Devils’ Crest are:
- Maaya Uchida (who portrayed Rikka in Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusion!) voices Aria Misono
- Rie Murakawa (the voice of Hotaru in Non Non Biyori) takes on Kai Kisanuki
- Sora Amamiya (known for Akame in Akame ga Kill!) plays Sumika Watamaki
- Yuusuke Kobayashi (the voice of Subaru in Re: ZERO) appears as Teruki Sugamo
Devils’ Crest’s staff previously disclosed that Konomi Inagaki and Haruka Shiraishi will provide the voices for Sawa Ashihara and Yuuma Ashihara. At AX 2026, they revealed that Ado will sing the opening theme titled “Shinka.” You can watch the AX 2026 footage and the trailer below:
The anime’s creative team features:
- Shinji Ushiro — serves as Chief Director
- Kenchirou Komaya — holds the role of Director
- Eiji Umehara — handles the scripts
- Naoyuki Chikatani — composes the music
- Yuki Hayashi — also contributes music
- Yukiko Horiguchi — is responsible for character design
Production I.G. has taken on the animation duties for the series.
The series is based on the light novel by Reki Kawahara (Sword Art Online, Accel World) and Yukuko Horiguchi titled Demons’ Crest. It has been serialized by Dengeki Bunko (Kadokawa) since November 2022, and Kadokawa has released four volumes so far. In 2022, Koroku Takano and TOmoe turned the story into a webtoon, which Yen Press released in English.
Devils’ Crest tells the story of Yuuma Ashihara, a middle‑schooler who got the chance to beta‑test Actual Magic, a VRMMO. At first, Yuuma was impressed by how realistic the game felt, but his excitement turned to dread when he attempted to log out. The game unexpectedly seeped into reality, warping the world so that several of his classmates turned into monstrous creatures. Now facing a fight for survival, Yuuma and his peers must battle to stay alive.
The series is set to launch on Amazon Prime Video on November 6.
