Umamusume: Pretty Derby has secured a sponsorship agreement with MotoGP™ for the 2026 Motul Grand Prix of Japan. As part of the deal, a 509′ (155 m) display bearing Oguri Cap, Tamamo Cross, Daiwa Scarlet, Jungle Pocket, Agnes Tachyon, Almond Eye and Lucky Lilac will be installed around the circuit. Umamusume artwork will be positioned at the Motul Grand Prix of Japan grandstand entrance. Tomoyo Takayanagi, the voice‑actor for Oguri Cap, will also act as the flag girl for the Moto2 and Moto3 races.
The Motul Grand Prix of Japan is slated to take place at Motegi Circuit in Tochigi Prefecture from 2 to 4 October, with the Moto2 and Moto3 events set for Sunday, 4 October.
Moto3 is the entry‑level class that uses 250 cc lightweight bikes and is aimed at younger competitors; Moto2 showcases mid‑tier riders on 765 cc motorcycles. The Japanese event joins a series of worldwide Grand Prix championships. Admission options for the MotoGP™ Motul Grand Prix of Japan start at $92.50 (~¥14,410) for a three‑day general pass and go up to $1,666.57 (~¥259,707) for three‑day Victory Deck grandstand seats. Umamusume: Pretty Derby is sponsoring the Motul Grand Prix of Japan, marking the series’ second partnership with a sport outside of horse racing. Earlier this year the franchise backed the Pacific Racing Team in the Super GT car‑racing championship. Cygames, Inc. has also supported numerous top‑tier horse‑racing competitions, such as the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, the Grand Premio Latinoamericano and the Breeders’ Cup.
Cygames, Inc. operates as the parent organization of Umamusume: Pretty Derby, a mobile title that portrays real racehorses as anthropomorphic characters. The game has been expanded into multiple TV anime series, original video animations, manga adaptations and a cinema release.
