TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – The Dadaha reorganization process does impact street vendors (PKL) who must relocate from the jogging track area. However, from a business standpoint, they do not have to search for a new location because they “receive” new stalls prepared by the government.
In the trading business, having a place to sell is an essential asset that cannot be ignored. Many small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) have to spend significant amounts of money to rent stalls or similar premises.
Some even set up stalls illegally in public spaces in pursuit of crowds. This is similar to the street vendors in the Dadaha area, who occupy sidewalks, jogging tracks, and parking spaces.

During the Dadaha reorganization process, the street vendors were not evicted or expelled, even though they were technically in violation of the regulations. The reorganization team even prepared stalls for them, so they could get a business location in a relatively busy area in the city centre without having to rent a kiosk.
Recently, the jogging track street vendors made a deal with the UPTD Dadaha Complex Management. They were allowed to operate stalls at several points in the Dadaha area, limited to about 70 vendors.
The Chairman of the Small and Micro Traders Association of the Dadaha Complex, H. Ana Nuryana, said that this readiness was announced after a data synchronization between the traders’ association and the UPTD Dadaha Management. He said the synchronization aimed to confirm the number of traders truly active daily and to prevent duplicate records.
“We initially had about 197 street vendors. After synchronizing with UPTD Dadaha’s data, the figure dropped to about 70 vendors who actually operate there daily,” said Ana.
He clarified that this figure does not include seasonal traders who only operate during specific events or moments at the Dadaha Complex.
“The 70+ are the traders who sell every day. They are not the street vendors who sell only during busy periods or weekly traders,” he said.
According to Ana, seasonal traders do not need permanent stalls either because their activities are temporary and depend on events taking place in the Dadaha area.
