TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – In its effort to improve the Dadaha area, the Tasikmalaya City Government has started moving street vendors, especially those operating near the jogging track, to prevent disruption to users of the facilities.
This improvement is part of the routine Jumat Indonesia ASRI activities, integrated with the Tasik Gemas and Tasik Resik programs.
Mayor of Tasikmalaya Viman Alfarizi Ramadhan, together with city officials, various agencies, and stakeholders, personally engaged in exercise, cleaned the environment, and observed the Dadaha area improvement process on Friday (7/8/2026).

Viman stated that the Dadaha area is currently a top priority for government improvement to restore its function as a comfortable public space for residents.
“This is a regular activity every Friday. In addition to exercising and communal cleaning, we are also focusing on the Dadaha improvement, which is currently a priority,” he said.
He explained that the initial step taken was to close the TPV that had been operating in the Dadaha area. The presence of the TPV was deemed to disrupt visitor comfort due to the unpleasant odor and its proximity to culinary areas, shelters, and sports fields.
Subsequently, the Dadaha improvement coordination team started removing street vendors still operating on the jogging track. The first phase targeted stalls that were no longer in use but whose equipment remained on site.
“Meanwhile, we are conducting outreach to active vendors. They will later move their stalls independently to locations prepared by the government,” he said.
Viman assured that the relocation would not reduce the traders’ business opportunities. The city government has prepared a more representative location so that economic activities continue and visitors can more easily access the culinary area.
“We want traders to remain comfortable, their sales to stay strong, and their income not to decrease. On the other hand, residents who exercise or vacation can enjoy Dadaha more comfortably,” he said.
Digital parking in Tasikmalaya City remains a dream, vendors say: avoid forced uniformity. The controversy over Harim Laut Pantai Madasari in Pangandaran persists, with ownership claims lacking supporting certificates.
He explained that the Dadaha improvement concept already has a masterplan. Currently, the document is being refined to accommodate all of the area’s functions.
