TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – Efforts by the Tasikmalaya City Government to improve the Dadaha area are ongoing. After several field inspections and post‑incident evaluations concerning various issues in the area, the redevelopment concept is now being discussed at a coordination meeting with all stakeholders at the Dadaha Creative Center (GCC) Building on Thursday (6/8/2026).
The meeting involved regional agencies, territorial authorities, representatives of street vendors (PKL), parking attendants, and community leaders. The discussion focused on managing street vendors, parking management, and traffic engineering to make the sports area, a source of pride for Tasikmalaya residents, increasingly orderly, safe, clean, and comfortable.
This step is part of a series of improvements continuously promoted by the City Government. Previously, the administration had intensified security patrols, conducted trader surveys, and studied area redevelopment following increased public attention to the Dadaha situation over recent weeks.

Asisten Administrasi Umum Setda Kota Tasikmalaya, H Asep Maman Permana, stated that the redevelopment is not aimed at wiping out people’s livelihoods.
“What we want to restore is the function of public facilities so they can be enjoyed by all residents. Therefore, we prioritize dialogue and communication with all parties, including traders, nearby residents, and other stakeholders,” he said.
According to him, all emerging aspirations serve as essential material for drafting the redevelopment concept to ensure that future policies remain aligned with public interests without neglecting regulations.
Sementara itu, Kepala Satpol PP Kota Tasikmalaya Yogi Subarkah said that the concept currently being drafted remains flexible and open to various inputs.
“Today’s discussion focuses on arranging traders, managing parking, and engineering traffic. All are still being refined in accordance with statutory provisions and community feedback prior to field implementation,” he said.
He added that the approach taken is not merely enforcement, but also improving the area’s governance to ensure that economic activities continue while maintaining the function of public spaces.
During the meeting, participants agreed on the direction for developing the redevelopment concept as material for improvement before reporting it to the Mayor of Tasikmalaya. The next step will be a field inspection to ensure that the prepared plan aligns with the actual conditions.
