TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – The Tasikmalaya City Government has started revamping the Dadaha area.
The overhaul targets the activities of street vendors (PKL) and business owners who sell in the jogging track area and around Stadion Wiradaha.
This step is taken to restore Dadaha’s function as an integrated sports complex and a public space that is orderly, comfortable, safe, and healthy.

As an initial step, the UPTD Manager of the Dadaha Complex issued a circular to traders, business operators, and street vendors.
They were asked to vacate and clean their stalls independently.
The Head of the UPTD Dadaha Complex Management, Dadang Ismail, said that the arrangement refers to the Mayor of Tasikmalaya Regulation Number 107 of 2016 concerning the Management of the Dadaha Complex as an integrated sports area.
“We call on traders who usually sell in the jogging track area and around the stadium to immediately organize their stalls independently. The deadline is August 25, 2026,” said Dadang on Monday (24/8/2026).
However, the arrangement was emphasized as not intended to stifle people’s economic activities.
The Tasikmalaya City Government has prepared a relocation zone so that street vendors can continue their businesses without disrupting the main function of Dadaha as a sports area.
“This arrangement is not intended to kill the people’s economy. We want Dadaha to be comfortable again for sports, recreation, and other public activities,” he said.
The area arrangement is also accompanied by several improvements. The UPTD Dadaha Complex Management has carried out socialization and communication with PKL coordinators.
Surveillance has been intensified through the installation of CCTV at several points. Street lighting (PJU) has also been repaired to support visitor safety and comfort.

Moreover, the Garbage Disposal Site (TPS) located in the Dadaha area has been closed. Traffic flow engineering has also been implemented to reduce congestion at several points.
Official parking lots will also be focused on so that visitors’ vehicles no longer park randomly.
“We want Dadaha to become a source of pride for Tasikmalaya residents again. A place that is clean, safe, and comfortable,” said Dadang.
The Mayor of Tasikmalaya, Viman Alfarizi, emphasized that the policy does not mean evicting street vendors.
According to him, the arrangement is made so that community sports activities and traders’ economic activities can coexist.
