The anime adaptation is based on the manga penned by Shingo Iijima, with the original story created by Masakichi. The tale unfolds as follows:
In a world where one’s life is largely shaped by the “Gift” bestowed by the Creator God, a kind-hearted boy named Lent lives in a remote frontier village. He receives an exceptionally rare support ability called 《Mana Vault》, which enables him to lend his magical power to his comrades.
Together with his childhood friends from the village, he forms the adventuring party “Skycleaver Sword” and sets out on a journey, eager to fulfill his role as the team’s support specialist. However, because Lent never seems to grow stronger, he is regarded as dead weight and is cruelly expelled from the party.
Consumed by intense anger and a desire for revenge, Lent’s Gift evolves, awakening its true power… a skill that lets him forcibly reclaim the vast amounts of magical power he had been lending. By seizing back the mana from the former comrades who betrayed him, Lent grows stronger from what he recovers.
Thus begins Lent’s tale of vengeance.
