BLUE LOCK live‑action adaptation has unveiled three new cast members, among them Yusei Yagi of FANTASTICS (EXILE TRIBE), who will portray Rin Itoshi.
Yagi will appear alongside Keisuke Watanabe as Jyubei Aryu and Taiko Natsuo as Aoshi Tokimitsu, and official character photos have been issued showing the three actors in costume.
The movie opened in Japanese theaters on August 7, attracting 188,212 viewers and grossing ¥277,648,800 (approximately $1.7 million) during its first three days.
More showings are upcoming. Beginning August 21 the film will be available in MX4D, 4DX and Dolby Cinema formats, while a special “cheer” screening will run at five locations across Japan on August 14.
The theatrical release was unveiled together with Season 3 of the TV series; Mei Hata has just been added to the cast as Anri Teieri. Additional cast members are listed beneath.

The film’s production team consists of:
- Director: Yusuke Taki directs the movie.
- Screenplay: Tetsuo Kamata wrote the script.
- Producer: Shinzo Matsuhashi oversees production.
- Production: Credeus handles production.
- Distribution: Toho handles distribution.
The series is penned by Muneyuki Kaneshiro with illustrations by Yusuke Nomura, and is published in English by Kodansha. It tells the tale of BLUE LOCK, an initiative to forge the ultimate selfish striker who will lead Japan to World Cup glory. Produced by 8bit, the anime has seen two television seasons and the BLUE LOCK -Episode Nagi- film released to date.
