The TV anime series titled “Glasses with a Chance of Delinquent” has unveiled its debut teaser artwork and announced the principal production team, with a 2027 premiere planned.
The story, derived from Naruki’s manga, follows Momose, a student who aspires to lead a serene high school life away from ruffians and miscreants. Penguin Random House has secured the English licensing rights for the work, summarizing the premise of its opening volume.
Momose has always dreamed of a tranquil high school experience, shunning any contact with thugs, delinquents, or troublemakers. When she meets Ichikura, a quiet black‑haired boy wearing glasses who appears friendly and ordinary, she soon discovers that he was once a notorious rebel during junior high.
Ichikura claims he has reformed, yet he still seems inclined to start fights. Is his change of heart genuine? And will Momose keep his turbulent past under wraps?
Two promotional images for the anime have been released. The first showcases the central characters Momose and Ichikura, while the second brings them together with Igarashi, Sakyo, Yachiyo, and Yataro.
The series will be directed by Makoto Hoshino, with Megumi Shimizu overseeing the scripts and Ruriko Watanabe providing character designs. Animation production is a joint venture between Studio flad and Wao World.
