Free Fire Daybreak, the anime version of Garena’s battle‑royale title Free Fire, has dropped its debut trailer. The series also unveiled a key visual and announced a Spring 2027 premiere earlier this week.
Funded jointly by Garena and KADOKAWA, the show will be broadcast and available on streaming platforms around the globe, Japan included. The fresh key art spotlights the lead character Kelly together with Hayato and Moco. The project was initially disclosed in May 2024, with its first teaser surfacing in July 2025.

In the near‑future city of New Dawn, ruled by the powerful Horizon Corporation, 16‑year‑old Kelly gets pulled into the experimental “Project Bloom” and unlocks the “Limit Break”, a mind‑bending ability that can breach any seal.

Production of the anime is handled by CANDYBOX studio, directed by Ken Takahashi, with Hotaru Asafuji overseeing the series composition and script, and Kouji Fujimoto (Sus4 Inc.) providing the soundtrack.
Launched back in 2017, Free Fire stands out as a top‑selling mobile battle‑royale title. Garena reports that it has topped the download charts in its category for seven straight years and consistently appears among the most downloaded mobile games globally since 2019.
