The anime based on Garena’s popular battle‑royale title Free Fire has been officially named Free Fire Daybreak and will launch in Spring 2027. Garena and KADOKAWA revealed this announcement together with the first key visual for the series, while the promotional trailer is expected to appear shortly.
A collaborative production funded jointly by Garena and KADOKAWA, the show will be broadcast and streamed globally, with a release also planned for Japanese audiences. The latest key visual showcases the lead character Kelly together with Hayato and Moco. The project was initially unveiled in May 2024, and its first teaser appeared in July 2025.

In the not‑too‑distant metropolis of New Dawn, overseen by the domineering Horizon Corporation, a 16‑year‑old named Kelly gets pulled into the experimental venture known as “Project Bloom” and unlocks a unique power called “Limit Break”, which can break open anything that has been sealed.

Launching in Spring 2027, Free Fire Daybreak is a brand‑new, power‑packed battle‑action anime that kicks off the struggle for truth, camaraderie, and New Dawn’s future.
Production of the series is handled by CANDYBOX studio, with Ken Takahashi at the helm as director, Hotaru Asafuji overseeing the series composition and screenplay, and music composed by Kouji Fujimoto of Sus4 Inc.
First launched in 2017, Free Fire stands out as a top‑selling mobile battle‑royale title globally. Garena reports that the game has topped the charts as the most downloaded mobile game in its category for seven straight years and consistently appears among the world’s most downloaded mobile titles since 2019.
