TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com–The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has introduced a series of technical modifications to the Free Nutritious Food (MBG) initiative, with several of these changes involving financial considerations. A portion of these adjustments are perceived as burdensome for MBG partners, ultimately compelling them to cut down on the number of volunteers or staff members.

The most recent updates include the implementation of the Interim Determination Letter 2 (SPS 2), allowing SPPG to commence operations once certain conditions are met. These conditions comprise holding an SLHS, not being currently suspended, and serving more than 1,000 beneficiaries.

Consequently, newly licensed MBG kitchens that are prepared to operate are unable to do so immediately.

Seeing his partner with another woman made a man from Purbaratu jump off a bridge on Jalan Lingtar in Tasikmalaya. There are concerns that the selection of leaders at Baznas Kota Tasikmalaya could be forced, echoing the Dewas situation.

Furthermore, BGN revised the incentive calculation scheme for SPPK, shifting from a flat rate of Rp 6 million per day to Rp 2,000 per portion.

Beneficiary data underwent verification using NIK to enhance accuracy and prevent irregularities; however, the resulting data was reportedly inconsistent with the actual number of recipients on the ground.

Adding to the changes, BGN removed vehicle costs from the operational fund, leading to a further reduction in the budget received by SPPG.

In response to these modifications, MBG partners in the Priangan Timur region convened at a café on Jalan Mashudi in Tasikmalaya City on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. They aligned their perspectives and urged BGN to review the latest regulations and technical guidelines (juknis).

The coordinator of MBG partners in Priangan Timur, Ucu Supriatna, stated that they do not oppose regulatory changes; however, such policies must take into account the actual conditions on the ground.

“Fundamentally, we are not opposed to the new rules. However, there are certain aspects that BGN should reconsider, especially concerning the reduction in the number of workers,” Ucu remarked.

In his view, MBG partners have been assisting the government in implementing the program by absorbing local community members as workers.

We must avoid repeating past appropriateness issues, and the Dewas controversy should not recur at Baznas Kota Tasikmalaya. Additionally, vaping is now prohibited at the Tasikmalaya City Police Headquarters.

“We have been implementing the government’s program, one of which involves absorbing workers. However, with the introduction of new regulations, there is a reduction in volunteers. What will become of those who have been dedicated to the MBG program and are now being dismissed due to these rules?” he said.
