TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – The distribution of social assistance (bansos) in Tasikmalaya City continues to grapple with a classic problem: beneficiary data has not yet reached full accuracy.

Amidst various government assistance programs, there are still residents who remain unregistered, and some beneficiary data does not match the actual conditions on the ground.

This issue has drawn the attention of Tasikmalaya City Mayor Viman Alfarizi Ramadhan when he inspected several houses receiving the Unlivable Housing Assistance (RTLH) program in Purbaratu District on Monday (2/11/2026).

JNE expands creative industry markets, becomes logistics partner for inclusive art exhibitions in Bandung; AHM promotes green lifestyles, urging young people to reduce electronic waste.

During the visit, Viman not only checked the progress of house construction but also ensured the integration of social assistance for beneficiary families.

The inspection results revealed that there are still tasks to be completed in updating data so that government assistance does not remain confined to paper alone.

“We saw that some are still not registered, and there are also some whose data is still incorrect. We will monitor and update these matters so that the people of Tasikmalaya City can receive social assistance,” he said.

He explained that the RTLH assistance in Tasikmalaya City currently originates from three levels of government.

A total of 827 units come from the Central Government’s Self-Help Housing Stimulus Assistance (BSPS) program, 22 units from the provincial government, and 53 units from the Tasikmalaya City Government.

Viman stated that several houses receiving assistance that were inspected using the city government’s budget have shown construction progress.

Meanwhile, assistance from the central government is also integrated with the Sekolah Rakyat program under the Ministry of Social Affairs.

According to him, support for Sekolah Rakyat student families must not stop at providing education access for children.

The government must also pay attention to the social and economic conditions of families, including meeting food needs and housing adequacy.

“So, every child who is a Sekolah Rakyat student is not just the one being schooled. Social assistance from the central government, both non-cash and cash assistance, food assistance, including housing or home assistance, is also prioritized for the students and their families,” he explained.

In addition to checking housing conditions, Viman also inspected the implementation of social protection, especially the distribution of food assistance packages and the Family Hope Program (PKH).

The utilization of the National Single Social and Economic Data (DTSEN) is also a focus in ensuring the accuracy of beneficiary data.
