PANGANDARAN, Thecuy.com — Shortage of fuel, poor road conditions, and alleged extortion have once again sparked public unrest in Langkaplancar.
The Langkaplancar Community Care Alliance (Ampel) took to the streets for the second time on Wednesday (28/10/2026), urging the government and relevant authorities to move beyond promises and provide concrete solutions.
The demonstration, held at the Bangunjaya Village Football Field, served as a platform for residents to voice issues they felt were not being adequately addressed.

From the difficulty of obtaining fuel, the unclear development of public fuel stations (SPBU), to poor infrastructure and public services.
During the protest, the crowd voiced six demands addressing basic community needs.
In addition to demanding legal protection for retail fuel sellers and certainty of SPBU construction permits, they highlighted damage to main roads and insufficient street lighting.
The issue of subsidized fertilizer distribution, which is considered to hinder farmers, was also raised.
Equally serious, the crowd called for action on alleged abuse of authority and extortion practices by certain officers.
Ampel’s Field Coordinator, Burhanudin, said the action stemmed from the concerns of ordinary people whose livelihoods depend on agriculture, small-scale trade, and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
According to him, obtaining fuel is not just a matter of queues or availability. The situation impacts business operational costs, economic activities, and citizens’ daily mobility.

“This action is not just about fuel. It’s about how the people of Langkaplancar can get proper access to basic needs, legal certainty in running a business, adequate infrastructure, and fair policies for the people. We want this issue to be answered with concrete steps, not just promises and statements without follow-up,” he said.
AMPEL also urged the Pangandaran District Government, together with the DPRD and related agencies, to immediately open a dialogue to discuss solutions to these issues.
The forum is expected not only to be a place to gather aspirations but to produce clear, measurable agreements with implementation deadlines.
Demand was also directed at the police to be transparent in following up on public reports, especially if related to alleged intimidation or abuse of authority.
