Ascendance of a Bookworm Part 4: Founder of the Royal Academy’s So-Called Library Committee now officially has an anime adaptation. The series’ official website has announced the project and confirmed that WIT Studio will oversee the animation production.
J-Novel offers this preview of the first volume of part 4:
After a two-year hiatus, Rozemyne awakens to a dramatically altered world, which feels as unsettling as it sounds. With little time to spare, she is forced to head for the Royal Academy—a prerequisite to becoming a noble. There, she will encounter a wide array of eccentric teachers and peers from other duchies… can she stay calm when faced with the greatest collection of books she has ever seen? The bibliophile heroine enters a scholastic adventure in this newest chapter of the beloved book‑centric fantasy, crafted by enthusiasts for readers.
Season one premiered in 2019, followed by a second in 2020 and a third in 2022, all produced by Studio Ajia-do. The most recent season, which ran from spring through summer 2026, concluded on October 3, 2026, and was animated by Studio WIT.
