That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (TenSura) Season 4 will continue with its third cour in July 2027. In addition, the official spin‑off That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Clayman REVENGE is getting a TV anime adaptation, set to begin in April 2027.
The announcements were made following the finale of Season 4’s second cour on September 25 through a collaboration video featuring Rimuru and Clayman. Season 4 was previously confirmed for five total cours.
Clayman REVENGE is based on a manga by Wataru Kajika, with the original story by Fuse. The spin‑off follows Demon Lord Clayman after his ambitions are crushed by Rimuru, sending him 70 years into the past and exploring an alternate path his life might have taken.
Studio 8bit will handle animation production, as with the main That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime. Kentaro Sugimoto will direct, with Yuji Ikuhara on the series composition, and Asumi Hashimoto and Hideki Sakai as character designers. Takehito Koyasu will reprise his role as Clayman.
A teaser visual for Clayman REVENGE was also released.
Fuse offered the following remark:
“Clayman REVENGE began as a simple thought I had, and now it’s astonishingly becoming an anime adaptation!
The project has progressed steadily since it began, and as the original creator who suggested it, I’m still a bit anxious about how fast everything is unfolding. (laughs)
Clayman rebukes his underlings with a stern look, his glass trembling and wine spilling, leaving a tiny stain on his immaculate white suit… when he spots it, he hurriedly tries to hide it so nobody sees how uncool he looks.
The basic idea for Clayman REVENGE was that this very scenario was already amusing on its own.
Initially, I drafted the story expecting it to run about two volumes, but due to the fans’ enthusiastic response, I now want to keep it going for as long as possible!
Even when Clayman occasionally takes a serious tone, I want this series to stay, at its heart, something everyone can simply enjoy. Above all, I hope that not only Kajika-sensei and I, but also everyone on the anime production team and all involved creators, can work together as one unit and have fun making the series.

Fuse began penning the Tensura light novel series in 2014, illustrated by Mitz Vah. The novel concluded on November 29 of last year with the release of Volume 23. The anime adaptation follows the manga version, which is illustrated by Taiki Kawakami.
The TV series produced by studio 8bit premiered in October 2018, running until March 2019 for its first season. The second season was divided into two cours, airing in Winter 2021 and Summer 2021. The third season launched in April and ended with Episode 24 on September 27, 2024.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: The Movie – Scarlet Bond marked the franchise’s first theatrical release, premiering in 2022. The film features an original narrative penned by Fuse and introduces a new character named Hiiro.
Season 4 was revealed together with the second film after the third season wrapped up. Crunchyroll currently streams the inaugural movie and the three televised seasons. The platform will also release That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea (Movie 2) in North America on May 1, 2026, offering both subtitled and dubbed screenings.
