One of them is the Sodongkopo Bridge situated in Cijulang District. It connects Nusawiru Airport with Batukaras Tourist Area.
This newly completed bridge spans 140 meters in length, with a roadway width of 7 meters. It also includes a 2.5‑meter pedestrian path and is distinguished by a steel arch design.

A short while ago, the bridge received a new name, Jaya Perkasa, bestowed directly by West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi. However, locals still refer to it as Sodongkopo.
Beyond its role as a connecting road between Nusawiru and Batukaras, the bridge has become a new landmark of Pangandaran, attracting numerous visitors.
Additionally, the bridge is outfitted with lighting and colorful lamps, enhancing its grand appearance.
Bandung resident Ahmad Nurhadi (33) expressed admiration for the well‑known Sodongkopo Bridge. He finds it imposing, thanks to its steel arch, and its height further boosts its grandeur.
“That’s why it’s no surprise that many people want to take selfies on this bridge,” he said.
