TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – The Tasikmalaya City Government says that the redevelopment of the Dadaha Complex was carried out through planning, but its progress has been stuck. One of the biggest obstacles is that the redevelopment team operated without preparation or budget allocation.
All government policies are initiated with planning, covering administrative work, technical implementation, and budget allocation. However, in the effort to redevelop Dadaha, the team operated without any budget support.
The Chairman of Commission III of the Tasikmalaya City DPRD, Anang Safaat, said that the process of redeveloping the Dadaha area has not yet received special budget support. This situation caused the Task Force team to work minimally by utilizing routine operational costs.

“Until now, the Task Force has only been cleaning up. Redevelopment has only been carried out on the jogging track because there is no budget,” said Anang.
Therefore, this situation impacted the motivation and work patterns of the Task Force, which were not optimal. After all, government programs must be implemented through technical planning, including budget requirements.
Not only the technical implementation, the lack of a special budget indicates that the planning was also done casually. This is evident in the location placement, which was not prepared, as if it were a last‑minute job.
In addition to physical improvements, traffic engineering in the Dadaha area has also been carried out to disperse crowd concentrations. With this arrangement, community activities are expected not to be concentrated in one spot only.
“In the future, it must be better organized. There must be designated locations for pedestrians, vendors, children’s play areas, and other facilities,” he said.
Anang also highlighted the socialization process during the initial stage of redevelopment. According to him, the government was considered late in providing socialization to the community, causing the redevelopment policy to spark controversy in the field.
He assessed that the situation was inseparable from limited budget support. The Task Force, working without a special budget, made the redevelopment scope of movement limited.
“That’s because there is no budget; the Task Force operates without funds,” he said.
Students in Tasikmalaya are alleged to have been victims of bullying, being beaten and slapped by dozens of people. Digitalization of roadside parking in Tasikmalaya city is hampered by signal issues and illegal parking attendants.
Therefore, Commission III of the Tasikmalaya City DPRD is committed to urging the local government to provide a budget to support the redevelopment of the Dadaha area. According to Anang, budget support is needed so that the redevelopment does not stop at temporary improvements, but can be realized through a more planned and sustainable concept.
