Black Clover Season 2 has unveiled preview artwork and the Episode 1 synopsis, now labelled “War Begins” (episode 171 overall). The series officially launches on October 3, 2026, and will be streamed globally by Crunchyroll. In addition, an early screening will take place as part of Crunchyroll’s Anime Nights on September 21.

The Clover Kingdom’s Magic Knights are now gearing up to free Yami and his companions, who have been taken captive by the Dark Triad.
After finishing the Devil‑Binding Ritual, Asta and Liebe are honing their skills to achieve Devil Union. At the same time, Yuno is practicing to triumph over Zenon—a foe who bested him previously—and to rescue Vangeance. Concurrently, in the Spade Kingdom, Morris—an expelled scholar from the Diamond Kingdom—continues his work to unlock the underworld’s gates.
Finally, the clash between the Clover Kingdom’s elite Magic Knights and the Dark Triad erupts!

The Black Clover manga ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2015 through August 2023, then moved to Jump GIGA. It entered its final story arc in August 2022 and concluded on May 1 after eleven years of publication. The series can be read in English on Viz Media’s site, the MANGA Plus platform, and the Shonen Jump mobile app.
A 170‑episode anime adaptation by Studio Pierrot aired from 2017 to 2021. The film Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King debuted on June 16 and is available on Netflix. Crunchyroll streams the TV series and summarizes the plot as follows:
In a realm where magic dominates all aspects of life, Asta and Yuno were both abandoned at a church on the same day. Yuno possesses extraordinary magical talent, whereas Asta has no magic at all.
