PANGANDARAN, Thecuy.com – The prolonged wait for delayed allowances since 2022 for Qur’an teachers in Pangandaran Regency is finally beginning to show a glimmer of hope.

However, the settlement still must be achieved through installments. Of the total obligation of Rp7.5 billion, the Pangandaran District Government could only disburse Rp2.5 billion.

This means there remains a Rp5 billion arrears that must be settled by the regional government.

FKS Kota Tasikmalaya continues to strengthen household waste management movements. Honda DAM offers a 30 percent service discount for students and college students in West Java.

Amid fiscal constraints and budget‑saving measures, the incentive payments for the Pangandaran Mengaji program are implemented gradually.

The Regent of Pangandaran, Hj Citra Pitriyami, said that the allocation of Rp2.5 billion is the initial payment stage to fulfill the government’s obligation to the Qur’an teachers who have been waiting for several years.

“Out of the total Rp7.5 billion, we have so far disbursed only Rp2.5 billion. That is about Rp400,000 per person. The total arrears remain at Rp7.5 billion, unpaid debt,” Citra told reporters on Thursday (5/11/2026).

With that disbursement, each recipient receives around Rp400,000, equivalent to four months of incentives.

Meanwhile, the unpaid entitlements for Qur’an teachers still cover a period of eight months.

Citra assured that the local government will continue to make yearly payments to meet the obligation. She aims to fully clear the arrears before her term ends.

“There are still eight months remaining. In any case, I hope it will be fully cleared during my tenure. It will be paid in yearly installments,” she asserted.

Handling of puddles in Tasikmalaya City is hindered by authority issues; Ciloa and Cikalang rivers need collaboration. Puddles in Tasikmalaya City are not merely due to rain; waste and utility cables hinder drainage.

The commitment gave new hope to the Qur’an teachers. However, the government’s task remains incomplete.

Because the initial disbursement only covers part of the obligation, while the recipients’ rights still await full settlement.

On the other hand, a young NU figure from Pangandaran, Arief Rahman Hakim, praised Regent Citra’s initiative to start realizing the payment of arrears.

He believes that care for Qur’an teachers remains important even as the regional finances face pressure from central government budget‑efficiency policies.

“Even when the regional finances are tight, Mrs. Citra still cares about and pays attention to the Qur’an teachers who have been waiting for years for this incentive to be realized. This is a form of government attention towards those who have long contributed to building society’s character education,” he said.
