Studio Pierrot produced a 170‑episode anime series based on Black Clover, which aired from 2017 to 2021. The film Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King debuted on June 16 and is available on Netflix. Crunchyroll streams the TV series, and their synopsis reads:
In a realm where magic dominates, Asta and Yuno are both abandoned at a church on the same day. Yuno is blessed with extraordinary magical talent, while Asta is the sole individual in this world devoid of magic. At age fifteen, both receive grimoires—magical books that amplify their holder’s abilities. Asta’s is a rare anti‑magic grimoire that nullifies and repels enemies’ spells. Though opposite, they are good rivals, driven by a shared ambition: to become the Wizard King. Giving up is never an option!
