The Black Clover manga ran in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2015 through August 2023, then moved to Jump GIGA. It entered its final story arc in August 2022 and concluded on May 1 after eleven years. The series can be read online via Viz Media’s site, MANGA Plus, and the Shonen Jump mobile app in English.
Studio Pierrot adapted the series into a 170‑episode anime that aired from 2017 to 2021. The film Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King hit theaters on June 16 and is available on Netflix. Crunchyroll streams the TV series, summarizing the plot as follows:
In a realm where magic defines everything, Asta and Yuno are both abandoned at a church on the same day. Yuno possesses extraordinary magical talent, whereas Asta is utterly powerless. When they turn fifteen, each receives a grimoire—a magical tome that amplifies its owner’s abilities. Asta’s is an Anti‑Magic grimoire, a rare tool that cancels and pushes back enemy spells. Despite being polar opposites, the two rivals aim to become the Wizard King, facing any challenge together. Giving up is never an option!
