CIAMIS, Thecuy.com — Irjen Pol Dr Pipit Rismanto SIK MH, the West Java Regional Police Chief (Kapolda Jabar), asked the residents of Ciamis Regency to continue fostering tolerance amid the region’s religious and ethnic diversity. He noted that mutual respect serves as a vital foundation for ensuring public safety and order (kamtibmas).
Pipit made the statement during his working visit to the Ciamis Police Headquarters on Thursday (17/9/2026). The visit also served as an opportunity for the Chief of Police to provide guidance to the Ciamis Police personnel on their duties and community service.
The West Java Police Chief stressed that all personnel should carry out their duties in an adaptive, responsive, and collaborative manner. The police, he said, must be able to adjust to evolving circumstances while offering tangible solutions for the community.

“Saya minta seluruh anggota Polres Ciamis terus menjaga dan memajukan Jawa Barat dengan cara adaptif, responsif, dan kolaboratif,” ujarnya dalam sambutannya saat berkunjung ke Mako Polres Ciamis pada Kamis (17/9/2026).
He emphasized that police duties must not only be performed swiftly but also deliver high-quality services and provide real benefits to the community.
“We can always adapt to evolving circumstances, work responsively and collaboratively, while also offering concrete solutions,” he stated.
In addition to giving guidance to personnel, Pipit praised the character of the Ciamis community, which upholds noble values and tolerance. He requested that this condition be maintained.
“I ask the community to maintain high tolerance toward religious and ethnic diversity in Ciamis. Because mutual tolerance toward anyone can ensure good security,” he said.
In response to the instructions, Ciamis Police Chief AKBP Eko Iskandar, SH SIK MSi, stated that the Ciamis Police are ready to enhance professionalism, discipline, and service quality. Synergy with local government, the TNI, religious leaders, community leaders, and all community elements will also continue to be strengthened to maintain public order.
“The Ciamis Police continue to reinforce their commitment to safeguarding public order, improving service quality, and building collaboration with all community elements. The Ciamis Police are prepared to implement the West Java Police Chief’s guidance by providing a responsive police presence and delivering tangible solutions for the community,” he said.
