Witch and the Mercenary anime dropped its inaugural main trailer, together with two fresh teaser images, three new cast announcements, and a launch slated for April 2027.
The newly disclosed cast members include:
- Yuri Noguchi portrays Isana Geihorn
- Hiromu Mineta voices Alan Close
- Haruka Shiraishi plays Elsia Amet
Taito Ban takes on the role of Zig Crane, while Saori Hayami lends her voice to Siasha. The new trailer lets listeners hear the cast.
Two additional teaser visuals have been unveiled, one centered on Siasha and the other on Zig. Both pictures echo the design of the first volume’s cover art from the original light novel.
The narrative tracks the pair after they start out as foes, with the solitary witch and the lone mercenary later journeying together to find a place they can call home. Shinpei Ezaki directs the anime at studio 8bit. Daishiro Tanimura oversees series composition, Keita Matsumoto designs the characters, and Rei Ishizuka composes the music.
The anime adapts the light novel series penned by Chohokiteki Kaeru, featuring original character art by Kanose Bench. A manga version also exists, illustrated by Makoto Miyagi. Seven Seas Entertainment has secured licensing for both works, summarizing the plot as follows:
Nothing in this world is more dangerous than a witch. They embody fear and terror, capable of conjuring floods at will, manifesting fiery orbs from thin air, or annihilating entire nations overnight. Provoke their anger, and no one is safe.
At least, that’s what everyone thinks, and it’s the very reason they all want Siasha dead. After another brutal fight for her survival, she partners with Zig, a mercenary, and they venture into uncharted territories seeking a place where she can live undisturbed. Yet, will the duo be able to face the looming threats of lost magic and malevolent creatures?
