Ranma 1/2 Season 3 has dropped its third trailer, showcasing the fresh opening and ending theme songs before the series comes back on October 3, 2026. Studio MAPPA is once more on board for the animation, with Konosuke Uda returning as director alongside most of the original crew. After airing on TV, the show will be available only on Netflix.
The opening theme “Sunao Miman” will be sung by Fumino, and the ending theme “Kawaikunai” will be delivered by Yuika. You can hear both tracks in the fresh trailer posted beneath.

Kimiko Ueno returns as series composer. Character design is by Hiromi Taniguchi, who also co‑directs animation with Yoshiko Saito, Kosuke Kawamura, Riko Kaneda, and Haruki Miura. Kaoru Wada is back to write the score, and Chihiro Okawa oversees art direction.

Rumiko Takahashi launched the Ranma 1/2 manga as her third flagship series, following URUSEI YATSURA and Maison Ikkoku, in August 1987. It ran in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday until March 1996. VIZ Media holds the English rights. Her Mao series also continues to receive an anime adaptation.
Previously, Studio Deen produced two anime adaptations: Ranma 1/2 and Ranma 1/2 Nettohen. Together they totaled 161 episodes from 1989 to 1992. The franchise also spawned 12 OVAs, three theatrical films, and a live‑action TV special in 2011.
The plot centers on Ranma and Genma Saotome, a father‑son team who become cursed after falling into a mystical lake. When drenched with cold water, Ranma transforms into a girl and reverts with warm water; Genma becomes a panda under the same circumstances. Ranma’s upcoming marriage to Akane adds tension, as she initially dislikes her betrothed.
