Katekyo Hitman REBORN! anime has unveiled a creditless rendition of its fifth opening theme. The track, titled “last cross” and performed by Masami Mitsuoka, originally aired during episodes 102‑126. This new video is part of the series’ 20th‑anniversary celebrations.
Yesterday’s eight ending creditless version was released, featuring the song “CYCLE” performed by CHERRYBLOSSOM. These releases are part of “REBORN! MUSIC MONTH,” a month‑long September initiative honoring the anime’s 20th anniversary. The ongoing campaign will post creditless versions of past theme sequences each day on the official YouTube channel.
Previously, these creditless cuts were only available on physical anime releases and had never been officially posted online. You can view the newest one below.
The project kicked off on September 1 with a curated 25‑song playlist that includes opening themes, ending themes and assorted music from the TV series.
Akira Amano’s manga was published in Weekly Shonen Jump from May 2004 to November 2012, concluding with 42 compiled volumes. An anime adaptation was also created, running for 203 episodes from October 7 2006 to September 25 2010, produced by Studio Artland. The series can be streamed on Crunchyroll, which outlines the story as:
A disaffected junior‑high student named Tsuna struggles academically, athletically and socially until a mysterious baby named Reborn—identifying himself as an Italian hitman from the Vongola family—appears to coach him for a future as the mafia clan’s boss.
