A fresh key image has surfaced for the forthcoming NARUTO silent performance, slated for Minamiza in Kyoto between February and June 2027. The venture was first teased back in July.
The illustration showcases Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and Kakashi Hatake.
The ensemble comprises Yuri Takahashi and Ryuma Aoi portraying Naruto Uzumaki; REI as Sasuke Uchiha; Yui Oikawa as Sakura Haruno; and HIROMA as Kakashi Hatake.
The separate character portraits can be viewed beneath this text.
The show will unfold silently, relying on physical acting, dynamic movement, and acrobatics to portray the universe crafted by Masashi Kishimoto’s NARUTO. To bring the series’ ninjutsu to life, the production incorporates projection mapping, optical tricks, and the distinctive stagecraft of traditional kabuki theater.
Direction is overseen by Go Ueki, known for prior stage productions such as Attack on Titan: The Musical and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon. Shinjiro Kameda is responsible for the composition, and Neil Dorward serves as the International Creative Consultant.
The production committee notes that the show fuses Japan’s age‑old theatrical customs with cutting‑edge stage technology, aiming to become a fresh tourist draw in Kyoto while highlighting the worldwide allure of Naruto via a wordless presentation.
NARUTO is a manga penned by Masashi Kishimoto. Its serialization started in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in September 1999 and continued for 15 years, concluding in November 2014 after totaling 72 volumes. The anime adaptation, produced by Studio Pierrot, launched in October 2002 and spanned 220 episodes. This was followed by the sequel series NARUTO: SHIPPUDEN, which aired for 500 episodes.
The follow‑up series, BORUTO: NEXT GENERATIONS, began as a manga originally written by Ukyo Kodachi. Masashi Kishimoto later assumed the storytelling duties, with illustrations provided by Mikio Ikimoto. The comic debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2016 before moving to V Jump in 2019.
Part two of the manga, titled BORUTO: TWO BLUE VORTEX, started in August 2023. The BORUTO: NEXT GENERATIONS anime series began airing in April 2017, took a hiatus in March 2023, and had a planned four‑episode special originally set for four consecutive weeks starting September 3, 2023, which was postponed to enhance its quality.
A brand‑new NARUTO Card Game trading card game has been disclosed for a 2027 release, and a fresh anime film is anticipated to be revealed next month.
