The NARUTO franchise is hinting at a fresh reveal for New York Comic Con 2026, accompanied by a special website and a timer set for October 10. This update comes from VIZ Media, the series’ U.S. publisher.
Based on the preview, NARUTO will be present at New York Comic Con on October 10, where “new and thrilling announcements” are expected. Junko Takeuchi, the Japanese vocalist for Naruto Uzumaki, and Noriaki Sugiyama, the Japanese vocalist for Sasuke Uchiha, have also been named special guests.
NARUTO is a manga created by Masashi Kishimoto. It started in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in September 1999 and continued for 15 years, concluding in November 2014 with 72 volumes. Studio Pierrot produced the anime series, which debuted in October 2002 and spanned 220 episodes. This was followed by the sequel NARUTO Shippuden, which consisted of 500 episodes.
In addition, the BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS manga exists, initially penned by Ukyo Kodachi. Masashi Kishimoto later assumed the storyline, with art provided by Mikio Ikimoto. It premiered in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2016 before transferring to V Jump in 2019.
The second part of the series, BORUTO: TWO BLUE VORTEX, launched in August 2023. The BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS anime series started airing in April 2017 and entered a hiatus in March 2023. A four‑episode special, initially set for broadcast over four weeks beginning September 3, 2023, was postponed to enhance its quality.
A fresh NARUTO Card Game trading card game was also unveiled for 2027, alongside a wordless live‑action production scheduled at Kyoto’s Minamiza Theater from February through June 2027. The motion‑picture adaptation helmed by Spider‑Man: Brand New Day director Destin Daniel Cretton has started auditioning actors for the roles of Team 7’s Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura.
