TASIKMALAYA, Thecuy.com – The reorganization of the Dadaha Sports Complex in Tasikmalaya City is considered to require thorough planning and clear regulations. Reorganization cannot be limited solely to street vendor (PKL) raids, but must also take into account the various functions of Dadaha as a sports, economic, public space, and tourism area.
Asep M Tamam, a Tasikmalaya-based scholar who frequently visits Dadaha, stressed that the regional government needs to develop a comprehensive plan before implementing any reorganization or enforcement measures in the Dadaha district.
He believes that the Tasikmalaya City Government, through its relevant agency, already possesses a solid understanding of the Dadaha Complex’s situation, encompassing the various challenges and activities occurring within the area.

“Disporabudpar is certainly familiar with every aspect of Dadaha. Therefore, the best formulation for its arrangement is needed,” said Asep.
He assessed that all elements present in the Dadaha area need to be comprehensively mapped. This is crucial so that government policies not only address short-term issues but also develop Dadaha into a region with broader functions.
Asep noted that Dadaha should revert to its primary role as a zone for sports coaching and development. Nevertheless, the presence of community economic activities also needs attention.
“Dadaha must serve as a venue for sports development. However, there must also be economic circulation so that Dadaha can become a space that makes the community more prosperous,” he said.
In addition to sports and economics, Asep believes that tourism aspects should also be incorporated into the arrangement concept. Dadaha should not be seen merely as a place where people sell or buy various necessities.
The area should be designed as a comfortable public space so that people have reasons to come, engage in activities, exercise, or simply enjoy the atmosphere.
“From a tourism perspective, it shouldn’t just be a place for trading and buying. Dadaha should also be a comfortable place to visit,” he said.

He explained that people who come to Dadaha have various interests. Some come to exercise, sell, shop, gather with family, or simply seek entertainment and pleasure. Therefore, all these dimensions need to be mapped before the government takes enforcement measures.
