Re:ZERO Emilia Birthday Event 2026 Reveals New Artwork and Tappei Nagatsuki Short Story Bonus

Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Emilia’s birthday celebration is heading back to Marui locations across Japan on September 19, 2026, featuring fresh merchandise and a special booklet of short stories penned by the series’ creator, Tappei Nagatsuki.

The complimentary booklet that comes with a purchase contains a brand-new short story titled “Three, Two, One, Smile!” created specifically for this year’s birthday festivities. The event, named Re:ZERO Emilia Birthday Life 2026 in Marui, honors Emilia’s birthday on September 23 and showcases freshly drawn illustrations of Emilia, Subaru, and Beatrice. Items decorated with these new designs will be sold at the event venues.

The inaugural gathering is scheduled for Shibuya Modi in Tokyo between September 19 and 27. A subsequent gathering will occur at Kobe Marui from October 3 through October 12.

Tappei Nagatsuki’s Re:ZERO light novel first appeared on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website back in April 2012. The physical edition began in January 2014, with illustrations contributed by Shin’ichiro Otsuka. Both the online and printed series are still ongoing. The anime adaptation’s inaugural season consisted of 25 episodes broadcast from April to September 2016. Season 2 was divided into two cours, premiering in the summer of 2020 and the winter of 2021. The third season arrived in the fall of 2024 and the winter of 2025.

During its initial segment, Re:ZERO Season 4 swept the Spring 2026 awards, accumulating 19 honors. In the latter segment, the series has reached the top spot on two occasions up to this point.
