Norio Sakurai’s The Dangers in My Heart (BokuYaba) manga will conclude with its final chapter on September 15, bringing the series to a close after roughly eight and a half years of serialization. It was previously announced that the manga would end within three chapters last month.
Akita Shoten revealed that the concluding chapter will appear in Champion Cross at 10:00 JST on September 15. The publishing house urges fans to celebrate the graduation of Kyotaro Ichikawa and Anna Yamada as the series draws to a close. The 14th volume will be the final release.
The TV anime’s first season consisted of 12 episodes and aired in spring 2023. The second season spanned 13 episodes during winter 2024 and completely ruled the weekly charts from start to finish, marking the first sweep ever. That season also captured the 2024 Anime of the Year award and garnered numerous additional accolades.
A third season is scheduled to debut in 2027.
Seven Seas Entertainment has acquired the rights to publish the series in English, and HIDIVE is handling its streaming distribution. The narrative centers on Kyotaro Ichikawa, a young man who daydreams about acting on dark impulses, only to have his existence transformed after meeting the charming Anna Yamada.
The franchise introduced a novel adaptation on September 25, 2025, which includes four short stories and depicts Kyotaro and Anna a decade later.
