Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! has unveiled a fresh poster illustration featuring Toyohashi City in Aichi Prefecture, Japan, the series’ real-world backdrop.
The fresh illustration shows the literature club’s quartet strolling down Toyohashi Station’s principal thoroughfare after school. This forms part of the continuing anime‑city partnership that showcases Toyohashi as a setting for the characters’ everyday lives.
In addition to the partnership, Toyohashi City will organize a Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! talk session at the Toyohashi Festival 2026. The gathering is set for October 31 and will feature Shuichiro Umeda (as Kazuhiko Nukumizu), Hikaru Tono (Anna Yanami), Shion Wakayama (Lemon Yakishio), Momoka Terasawa (Chika Komari), Minami Tanaka (Kaju Nukumizu) and Akira Sekine (Asami Gondo) as participants.
Entry to the talk session is complimentary, yet participants must register beforehand. Sign‑ups will start on October 1 and end on October 9; if interest surpasses the venue’s limit, a random draw will determine the attendees.
Too Many Losing Heroines (Makeine) Season 2 anime confirmation arrived via a trailer, as disclosed in April at a special event attended by the principal voice actors.
Takibi Amamori launched the Too Many Losing Heroines light‑novel series in July 2021; by July 2026, nine volumes and two short‑story compilations had appeared. The books are illustrated by Imigimuru, and a manga version created by Itachi also exists. Seven Seas Entertainment holds the licensing rights for both the novel and the manga.
Season 1 of the Too Many Losing Heroines anime spanned 12 episodes broadcast from July through September 2024. The series was helmed by director Shoitaro Kitamura at A‑1 Pictures, with Tetsuya Kawakami handling character design and Masahiro Yokotani providing series composition. Crunchyroll currently streams the show.
The plot centers on Kazuhiko Nukumizu, a high‑school student who repeatedly encounters a host of charming ‘losing heroines’ and observes their setbacks. Despite his efforts to remain detached, he inevitably becomes involved, sparking a series of intriguing connections and story arcs.
