PANGANDARAN, Thecuy.com – Combined officers once again carried out a joint raid targeting motor vehicles that had not re‑registered (KTMDU) in Kalipucang Pangandaran on Tuesday (8/9/2026). During this operation, traffic violations still received enforcement.
Throughout the operation, two‑wheeled and four‑wheeled vehicles passing through were stopped by officers for inspection of vehicle document completeness. Riders found not wearing helmets or using loud exhausts were also penalised.
Head of the Regional Tax Other Fields (PJDL) of the Pangandaran District Bapenda, Jumsa, said the operation will last for three days. “The targeted revenue for PKB and BBNKB is around Rp21.7 billion. In this year only 66.31 percent has been realised,” he told reporters on Tuesday.
The Dadaha city arrangement mission in Tasikmalaya is judged unrealistic. The Tasikmalaya City Government intends to arrange Dadaha, despite the continued presence of street vendors.
He urged the public to fulfil their obligation to pay vehicle tax on time. According to him, riders caught in the raid can pay the tax on the spot directly. “If they cannot pay on the spot, they can make a statement letter or willingness to pay at the Samsat Office,” he said.
Kanit Turjawali of the Pangandaran Police Traffic Division, IPDA Maret Daniel, said the compliance rate of motor vehicle riders in Pangandaran Regency is currently around 75 percent.
However, officers still discovered traffic violations, among them motorcyclists or pillion riders who were not wearing helmets and vehicles using loud exhausts.
“Vehicles using loud exhausts will be secured by us. We urge the public to be disciplined in traffic,” he said.
Maret also called on schools to provide education to students to refrain from using loud exhausts and to always wear helmets while riding. (den)
